Serve Robotics reports 44 cities across 14 states in its SEC filings. DEPLOY independently tracks operating fleets in a subset of those - Los Angeles, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago. The 44-city figure is the company's own filing; the five metros are the verified subset. Both are true; they answer different questions.
Starship's 300+ is a company figure
Starship reports more than 300 locations, but those are concentrated on college campuses and UK towns, not open US metros. That number is the operator's own count, not an independently verified city footprint. "Where do delivery robots operate?" means something different for a campus fleet than for a citywide one.
