Who’s involved
Vantis is a statewide beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) unmanned aircraft system network based in Grand Forks, North Dakota, founded in 2019 with a 28M USD investment from the state. The network provides shared-use infrastructure including surveillance sensors, command and control radios, and a mission operations center to enable scalable commercial drone operations. The FAA has approved Vantis as safety mitigation for BVLOS flights, making it the first statewide UAS network to receive this designation.
