SteerAI x Milrem Robotics

SteerAI is an Abu Dhabi-based developer of AI-powered autonomy solutions for off-road land vehicles, spun out of VentureOne. Its [xRift](/models/xrift-autonomous-atv) autonomous ATV, powered by the CoreX navigation system, operates in unmapped, GNSS-denied environments for defense and industrial missions. SteerAI has partnered with [Milrem Robotics](/companies/milrem-robotics) to equip 20 THeMIS UGVs with autonomous capability for UAE Land Forces.

[Milrem](/companies/milrem-robotics) Robotics is an Estonian defense robotics company specializing in unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Founded in 2013 by Kuldar Väärsi in Tallinn, Milrem's flagship THeMIS UGV is a multi-role defense platform deployed in combat zones including Mali and Ukraine. The UAE defense conglomerate EDGE acquired a majority stake in the company, and over 150 THeMIS vehicles have been delivered to Ukraine under a Dutch-led defense support package.
