[Seoul National University Robotics Lab](/companies/snu-robotics-lab) (DYROS Lab) is a robotics research laboratory at [Seoul National University](https://en.snu.ac.kr/) that designs and manufactures full-size bipedal humanoid robots for research. The lab developed TOCABI, a 33-DOF torque-controlled humanoid robot, and competes in the ANA Avatar XPRIZE competition. In August 2026, SNU launched the SNU Robotics National Research Laboratory for next-generation Physical AI, led by Director Cho Kyu-Jin, with approximately KRW 10 billion ($7.2M) per year in government funding for up to 10 years under the NRL 2.0 program.
