pSemi (formerly Peregrine Semiconductor) is a San Diego-based semiconductor company and a subsidiary of [Murata manufacturing](/companies/murata-manufacturing) (TSE: 6981). Founded in 1990, it pioneered UltraCMOS RF silicon-on-insulator technology and produces RF switches, power management ICs, and GaN FET drivers used in autonomous vehicle radar, solid-state LiDAR systems, and humanoid robotics. Murata acquired Peregrine for USD 471M in 2014.
