Who’s involved
Michigan Technological University (MTU) is an R1 public research university in Houghton, Michigan, founded in 1885. Its [College of Computing](https://www.mtu.edu/computing/) and [College of Engineering](https://www.mtu.edu/engineering/) host over 15,000 square feet of robotics lab space, nine undergraduate robotics-related majors, and nearly 20 research groups. MTU operates a [FANUC Authorized Certified Education Training Facility](https://www.mtu.edu/applied-computing/graduate/certificates/industrial-robotics/) and its Robotics and Remote Sensing Lab (RRSL) won the 2025 international Benchmark Autonomous Robot Navigation (BARN) Challenge at ICRA.
