Who’s involved
LF Studios (formerly LifeFormations) is an Ohio-based design and fabrication studio specializing in lifelike animatronic figures, sculptural scenic elements, and interactive experiences for theme parks, museums, and visitor attractions worldwide. Founded in 1981 by Dr. Gene Poor as a division of a Toledo display company, it became independent and grew into one of the [World](/companies/world-labs)'s leading animatronics studios with installations in more than 25 countries. The company rebranded as LF Studios in 2023 under president Dr. Rodney Heiligmann, who purchased the company from Poor in 2009. Clients include Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Great Wolf Lodge, and the Ark Encounter.
