Compass Datacenters is a Dallas-based hyperscale campus developer founded in 2011 by Chris Crosby, a former Digital Realty executive. It designs, builds, and operates Class A data center campuses on a modular, prefabricated construction model, marketing a "Community-First" and 100-year-neighbor posture aimed at winning entitlements in jurisdictions where hyperscale build-outs face growing local resistance. Recent expansion has been paired with a workforce-training push (Texas State Technical College, Meridian Community College) as jurisdictions increasingly tie approvals to local jobs commitments.
