The Bundeswehr awarded Rheinmetall a major contract for supply of 120mm tank ammunition. The framework contract was extended in July 2023 increasing total value to around 4 billion euros. Rheinmetall is the leading supplier of 120mm ammunition for Leopard battle tanks.
