What the Husqvarna Automower 450X knows about you
The Husqvarna Automower 450X is a mass-market autonomous robotic lawn mower for medium-to-large yards up to 1.25 acres. It represents the established boundary-wire regime: a buried or pegged perimeter wire defines the mowing area, with GPS-assisted navigation and guide wires for efficient return to the charging station. It handles narrow passages, complex layouts, and slopes up to 45 percent. An optional EPOS plug-in kit replaces the wire with virtual, app-defined boundaries using satellite positioning, bridging Husqvarna's legacy approach to the newer wire-free category.

What it collects about you
The data this device picks up.
Your location
The mower continuously tracks its own GPS position for the app display and theft protection, and stores this data in the cloud along with mowing patterns and settings.
People around you
On vision-equipped models, the mower captures and deletes images instantly on the device with nothing sent to Husqvarna, but documentation does not address whether bystanders might be captured before deletion.
Your body data
Husqvarna says the vision system does not identify people and that detecting whether an object is a person does not count as profiling. It does not specifically address biometric data storage.
Where your data goes
Who else can see it once it leaves the device.
Sent to the cloud
All Automower Connect data including your account info, mower settings, error codes, and GPS position is stored in the cloud on Husqvarna-managed servers.
Shared with others
The Automower Connect app uses Google Maps to show the mower's location and Google Firebase for usage analytics and crash reporting, sharing pseudonymized IDs and device info with those Google services.
What you can control
Your say over the data it holds.
Kept on the device
On vision-equipped models, the mower captures images for object detection but analyzes and deletes them instantly on the mower. No images are stored or sent to Husqvarna.
