Registry-wide: unsourced valuations and mismatched coverage removed
2026-10-20After the IONA correction we checked the whole registry for the same errors.
- We removed 1,042 post-money valuations across 664 companies. They were a fixed multiple of the round amount for each stage (for example, a Seed round at exactly four times its size) and no source stated them. That set included 13 valuations attached to grants, awards and prizes, which do not carry one. Round amounts are unchanged.
- We removed 158,898 news links across 904 companies that matched a company name inside another word or an unrelated use of the name. Links added by hand or from targeted searches are unchanged.
A valuation now appears only when a cited source states it. Source of correction: internal audit.
IONA: LIFT grant, valuations, investor and coverage links
2026-10-20The IONA record listed the LIFT project as an IONA funding round of $4.0 million at a $20 million post-money valuation, with EIT Food as a participant. LIFT is a €3.8 million Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund grant to a consortium of IONA, ÉireComposites and TU Dublin. No source states IONA’s share, a valuation, or any EIT Food funding.
- The grant is no longer recorded as an equity round or counted in IONA’s funding total. It appears as a consortium award with IONA’s share undisclosed.
- The $20 million valuation is removed. The Seed and Pre-Seed valuations are also removed, as no source stated them.
- EIT Food is no longer listed as an IONA investor.
- 6,793 news and Federal Register items wrongly matched to IONA by name (including salt and fisheries notices) are detached.
Source of correction: subject company request; TU Dublin primary announcement (4 November 2025).
Removal of unverified bulk-ingested records
2026-06-10Between June 5 and June 8, 2026, an automated ingestion process added a large batch of records to the registry without the primary-source verification our pipeline requires. The records carried a “reviewed” status they had not earned, which let them appear as verified entries. We caught this during an integrity review and removed them.
We removed every record we could not verify against a resolving primary source:
- 3,486 deployment records, including 2,450 that cited a source domain which does not resolve.
- 1,535 patent records: real patent numbers attached to entities the patents do not pertain to.
- 1,440 model records in generic or non-physical-AI categories with no verifiable basis.
- 236 company records outside the registry’s physical-AI scope.
We independently re-verified 216 real robot models against manufacturer pages, regulators, or primary press, confirmed their relevance, and restored them to the index.
A smaller set of records that name real entities but whose specific claims we could not yet source remain held back from the index, pending re-verification. We did not release them on unverified sources, and we did not invent sources to close the gaps.
Every removed record is archived and recoverable. The registry’s standard is that a verified record is worth more than a complete one. That standard is what surfaced this batch, and what governed how we cleaned it up.
Cartken NYC / City Hall sidewalk deployment retired
2026-10-01We retired the Cartken Courier New York City deployment record. NYC no longer permits sidewalk delivery bots (prohibited under rules against motor vehicles on sidewalks), and Cartken bots are not operating at New York City Hall. Status changed from operational to ended.

Out of registry scope. EEOC AI-in-employment guidance applies primarily to non-physical AI (hiring algorithms, evaluation systems, employment selection tools), only tangentially connected to physical AI through humanoid workplace deployments. Registry scope is physical AI (robots operating in the physical world). Filed in error; suppressed from aggregate views per constitutional seam #4 while canonical URL preserves the correction.

Corrections require supporting documentation: official records, primary sources, or verifiable links. Submissions are reviewed against the same source-quality tier rubric that applies to every record on file. We correct the record by appending a new status event, not by silent edit. The original record state stays in the history for audit.
For the full editorial discipline behind corrections, see the methodology and editorial process.
